Why does it seem that many churches take children from worshipping with the family and create self contained worship? Some may see it as a great place for evangelism or to taylor content especially for children.
We want to make sure children have a place in our worship. Don't be embarrassed by noise or questions. Part of being a body of believers that is "covenantal" is that we see God bringing our children to faith through the grace that comes from growing up in and around Christian truth and environments.
1. All children will make noise. It's OK.
2. Worship in church begins by praying reading the bible and sharing at home.
3. Children love to sing. Include some of our music in car rides or at home.
4. Children's Church will help children learn what happens in worship and why. Continue the conversation by asking questions after service.
Children (ages 4-5 and Kindergarten) are dismissed from the adult service before the sermon and meet in the 4s and 5s room. Our curriculum assists parents in training their children to transition into the adult service.
We encourage you to bring your older children to worship with you. Our pastoral staff plans our sermons with children in mind and encourage you to help your children learn to worship with us.
